RRB NTPC Recruitment 2025: 5,810 Vacancies Announced for Station Master, Traffic Assistant and Other Posts — Apply by November 20

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released a major notification for the recruitment of 5,810 Non-Technical Popular Category (NTPC) posts, including Station Master, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Clerk, Typist, and several other positions. This announcement has brought great excitement among candidates aspiring to work in the Indian Railways, one of the country’s largest government employers.

According to the official notification, the online application process has already started, and the last date to submit the application form is November 20, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates can apply through the official RRB websites of their respective regions.

Vacancy Details : 

The recruitment drive covers multiple NTPC posts in various categories. The total number of vacancies stands at 5,810 across India. The major posts include:

Station Master

Traffic Assistant

Goods Guard

Senior Clerk cum Typist

Junior Account Assistant cum Typist

Commercial Apprentice

Senior Time Keeper, and more.

This recruitment offers opportunities for both graduate and undergraduate candidates, depending on the specific post applied for.



Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must fulfill the following eligibility requirements to apply for the RRB NTPC 2025 recruitment:


  • Chief Commercial Cum Ticket Supervisor: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent.
  • Station Master: Degree University or its equivalent. from recognized
  • Goods Train Manager: Degree recognized from University or its equivalent.
  • Junior Accounts Assistant Cum Typist: Degree from recognised University or its equivalent. Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential.
  • Senior Clerk Cum Typist: Degree from recognised University or its equivalent. Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential.
  • Traffic Assistant: Degree from recognized University or its equivalent.

Nationality:

The applicant must be an Indian citizen.

Age Limit (as on January 1, 2025)

Minimum Age: 18 years

Maximum Age: 33 years

Age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms for OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates 


Salary Structure :

The Indian Railways offers an attractive pay scale along with various allowances and benefits. The approximate monthly salary for key posts is as follows:

Station Master: ₹35,400/- per month

Traffic Assistant: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000/- per month

Clerk / Typist / Junior Assistant: ₹19,900 – ₹29,200/- per month

In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other government benefits as per Railway rules.




Selection Process

The selection for RRB NTPC 2025 posts will be carried out through a multi-stage process to ensure fair and transparent recruitment. The stages include:

1. Computer-Based Test (CBT-1) – Preliminary exam common for all candidates.

2. Computer-Based Test (CBT-2) – Main examination based on specific post preferences.

3. Skill Test / Aptitude Test – Conducted for certain posts like Typist or Station Master.

4. Document Verification – To confirm the authenticity of submitted certificates.

5. Medical Examination – To ensure the candidate’s fitness for Railway service.

Final selection will be made based on performance in these stages and availability of vacancies in each RRB region.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee while submitting their forms online. The details are as follows:

General / OBC Candidates: ₹500/-

SC / ST / Women / PwD / Ex-Servicemen: ₹250/-

Note: A part of the fee will be refunded to candidates who appear for the CBT.

5. Upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and certificrates.

6. Pay the application fee using a debit/credit card, UPI, or net banking.u

7. Review the application form and submit it.
